Corn gives you lots of energy and important nutrients:

🌱 How Does Corn Grow?

Corn grows on tall, thick stalks that can be 6 to 10 feet high! Farmers plant seeds in the spring. As the plant grows, it develops long green leaves and tassels (flowers) on top.

The corn cobs grow in the middle of the stalk, wrapped in tight green leaves called husks. Sticky silk threads (called corn silk) come out of the top of the husk. Each silk thread leads to one single kernel! If a silk doesn't get pollen, that kernel won't grow. That's why sometimes you see missing spots on a cob.

Fun Fact: Every corn cob has an even number of rows of kernels! Usually 16 or 18 rows.
