After scratching and revealing a country, open a globe or map and let your child point to it! This builds geography awareness and cultural curiosity.
What your child practices
Flags are a fun way into geography because they are bright and memorable. Children practice noticing colors, shapes and patterns, such as stripes, stars and circles, and connect each flag with a country name.
Tips for grown-ups
Flags include India, China, the United States, Brazil, Japan, Türkiye, Mexico, Canada, Russia, France and others.
It suits children from about 4 to 9. Younger children enjoy the colors and older ones can try to remember the countries.
